Collection: White Buffalo

Mined by us in Central Nevada,

White Buffalo stone is a rare, striking white gemstone with a bold black matrix, mined exclusively near Tonopah, Nevada. Despite being frequently marketed as "White Buffalo Turquoise," it is not actually turquoise because it lacks copper.
Origins and Composition
True Identity: Composed primarily of calcite, dolomite, or magnesite mixed with white quartz and dark chert inclusions.
The Copper Factor: True turquoise requires copper for its blue-green color; White Buffalo has zero copper, leaving it stark white.
Location: Discovered and mined strictly in the high desert near Tonopah, Nevada, by the Otteson family.
