Pink Conch

The term "pink conch stone" usually refers to either the vibrant pink and coral-hued pink conch shell (cut into cabochons for southwestern and native jewelry) or the ultra-rare conch pearl that grows inside the shell. These organic gems come from the Queen Conch (Aliger gigas) found in the Caribbean Sea. 
Origins and Appearance
Source: The Queen Conch mollusk, native to the warm waters of the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and Bermuda.
Colors: Ranging from soft pastel blush and salmon to intense flamingo pink.
Flame Structure: Real conch pearls feature a unique, shimmering, flame-like optical pattern on their surface rather than traditional pearl nacre.
Hardness: Shell cabochons measure about 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale, while conch pearls measure about 5 to 6. 
Uses and Care
Jewelry: Cut and polished shell pieces are popular in sterling silver inlay work, rings, and cuffs (often paired with turquoise). 
Sensitivity: Both pink conch shell material and pearls can fade or lose their vibrant color if exposed to intense, direct sunlight for too long.
